Course 1b (Social Dancing)

For dancers who have done Course 1a (Beginners).

The Next Course 1b (Social Dancing)

The Course Saturdays will be 7:30pm - 9:00pm on
May 10th, 17th and 24th
June 14th, 21st and 28th 
July 12th, 19th and 26th
 
There will also be two Sunday sessions of 1.30-4.30pm on
22nd June and  13th July.

Venue

All classes at the Unitarian Church Hall

Price

£90 (£60 concession) for the course of 12 classes
This includes FREE entry to Tangamente for the course duration.

£6 for the drop-in classes in September.

Course Description

This course is designed for those of you who have done Course 1a (Beginners) or danced tango for at least 9 months

Course Contents

  • Music: beat, rhythm
  • Improve embrace, connection, posture, movement, flexibility
  • Corte
  • Paradas 1
  • Barridas 1
  • Social sacadas
  • Integrate Course 1a content with new tango things
  • Turning (more giro, but also social turning)
  • Social dancing: asking, being asked, inviting, common sense and social awareness
  • Combining Movements 1b
  • A dash of Tango Vals and Milonga
