On Asking A Lady To Dance With You
One should be reasonably certain that a lady is predisposed to the idea of dancing with you before you actually ask her to do so.
I am baffled at how many gentlemen do not seem to give any thought to this. They decide that THEY would like to dance with this-or-that chick and they just barrel on over to her and say "Do You Want To Dance" like uncultured cavemen. People like this clearly have utter disregard for the lady, and do not care about her sensibilities.
Some things a lady might do to demonstrate that she would enjoy dancing with you right here and right now:
- The lady has upon her own initative come over to your chair or table or bar-area and freely struck up a conversatoin with you
- The lady has walked by you and stationed herself solo some distance not too far away
- The lady has taken enthusiastically to a conversation which YOU initiated, and has not mentioned anything about being tired
- The lady has smiled or looked at you repeatedly in a warm and effusive way
-The lady has mentioned how much she adores the song that is being played right now
When a lady says
No Thank You to a gentleman who asks her it is in my opinion highly rude to
whine, complain, launch a big guilt trip, make a scene, or otherwise Not Take
No For An Answer.
