An Introduction primarily written for the search engines, but you might like to read it, too

Tango Bar is a dance school that only teaches tango (including milonga and tango vals).

Cambridge Tango is a fun thing, alive in its own way. A community of Tango dancers that enjoy their tango. Visitors are usually wellcomed with open arms and not allowed to sit down very much. We like new people to arrive that have danced tango before, as they always bring something new to the Cambridge Tango community.

What is Cambridge Tango like? Well we have many web pages devoted to this that you will find on the side menu of this web page, but in a few words what we aim to be is: fun, sociable, elegant, relaxed, musical, free, comfortable.

Tango is like all human knowledge. The more you learn and know, the more you find out that there is yet to learn and to know.

If you wish you can enjoy tango during the first hour of your contact with it, but it can take you a lifetime to master it. Typcially we are finding that people in the Cambridge Tango community start to really enjoy dancing Tango after 1 year, having done three tango courses, a bunch of drop-in lessons and danced a few times each week.

Cambridge tango is situated right in the heart of Cambrigdeshire, East Anglia, England, UK. The nearest airport is London Stansted, which is about 30 minutes away by car. Cambridge train station is about 10 minutes walk from our main Tuesday evening venue. London is about 1 hour and 15 minutes drive from Cambridge, so people sometimes go there and vice versa.

At the moment Cambridge Tango dancers are typically travelling to Sweden, Berlin, Nijmegen (in Holland, Netherlands), Paris and Buenos Aires for tango.
